Into the oven the turkey goes
I can smell the goodness with my nose
My grandma is making mashed potato
While my dad is cutting up tomatoes
From the corner of my eye
I spy a slice of pumpkin pie
DING goes the timer the turkey is done
We will sit down to eat and later have some fun
All the games that we will play
Revolve around Thanksgiving Day
To all that are happy
Have a joyful Thanksgiving---like me

I can't believe its Thanksgiving Day
It is not a day to feel bad and grey
It is a day to give thanks and praise
So listen to what I have to say
The only way to have a perfect day
Is to should and scream "HOORAY"
Plus say things you have to say
Its a day to be happy and good
Not a day to be evil and rude
Don't have your mouth open while chewing food
Do not be in a bad mood
Down by the pond where I stood
A fish jumped out in a good mood
So be like the fish
and fulfill Thanksgiving wish.
